The Version 1.0.8 update somehow managed to make this trope go From Bad to Worse by nerfing a lot of the credit rewards for winning races coupled with a server outage to fix corrupted issues with said patch, the backlash was so severe that players were granted a million free credits and a promise from Kazunori Yamauchi to make payouts more generous as well as more ways to make money. This trope rears its head again in 7, in what seems to be an attempt to get players to buy credits through microtransactions even with the most high-paying races, scraping up for the best cars can still take a long time.Normal business has resumed with 6, where credits are more lacking than ever before and the cars are more expensive than ever before, even if they are all readily available as opposed to 5 (where 80% of the cars were stuck behind the Used Car Dealership RNG).
